COMMODITY UPDATES 8TH AUG

August 8, 2012

News Highlights:
 The U.S. API Weekly Crude Stock fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of -5.35M, from -11.61M in the preceding month in turn indicating that demand for the fuel in US, world’s largest consumer of crude oil is strong.
 Crude oil output from Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) fell 270,000 barrels per day (bpd) in July to 31.45 million bpd from 31.72 mbpd in June, raising supply concerns in the near future.
 The Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology said that German manufacturing orders declined more than expected by 1.7 percent month-on-month in June against expectations of a drop of 0.8 percent which in turn curbed gains in copper by dampening demand outlook for industrial metal.
 The European Central Bank is expected to start unlimited buying of stricken member states' bonds to drive down their crippling borrowing costs and shore up its faltering economy which in turn improved demand prospects for copper and crude oil.

RUPEE PROBLEMS

The Sensex and the rupee are at critical breakdown levels after the stock market fell on Friday and the rupee was retesting its previous lows against the US dollar. The drop in the US equity markets on Friday might provide another downward nudge to Indian equities and the dollar rally could push the rupee lower on Monday. Readers of this column should not be surprised by the moves in the equity market and the rupee. We had mentioned that the Sensex was in a downtrend and was supported by the gap. The same is true of the Nifty.  (Click  here  for charts of Nifty and  here  for Sensex)  In last week’s article  we mentioned that price gaps are demand areas and happen when the opening price of a day is higher or lower than the closing price of the previous day. Reuters When there is extreme demand prices open much higher than they closed the previous day. That’s what happened to the Sensex on 31 January when it opened at 16,965 after closing at ...

Nifty Live

Nifty buy sell signals using nifty  live charts The Nifty is the most volatile tradable index on Nse since it is favourite for the intraday and positional traders. In technical analysis rules and covenants also it is taught that when trading or taking position in any stock , we need to find the direction in which the nifty is moving , so that the trade is entered in that same direction. This will give rise to a high probability trade. The nifty live charts or any intraday software can tell us about the direction of the nifty. The best trend finding strategy can be by checking the direction of any particular moving average, or by drawing a diagonal trend line. The other way is to see if it is making rising Low and Highs or falling. These are little complex to note during live intraday markets. So the better solution is to make your trading strategy more mechanical so that, the buy sell signals are generated on the live nifty charts using the real time data. ...

Intraday Software Using Trading Strategy For Generating Buy Sell Auto Signals

NIFTY RANGEBOUND—STOCK MARKET DIRECTIONLESS The stock market appears to halt at a tri-junction with no absolute clue about where to move.   CNX IT, however did manage to bounce back for two days but it is clearly looking like more of an bounce back when intraday indicators were slightly oversold and the index kind of manage to hold on for couple of days.   It recorded about 100 to 150 pointy kind of a bounce back.   The chart analysis indicates some crucial movement from here.   The nifty future might see a upward swing after a sharp correction.         Notwithstanding the fact, this kind of a decline was not expected.   For Infosys, 2150 is an important weekly closing pivot that could be a good target for it.   In fact, that is something which Intradaytrading software looks for making a pretty sure intraday trade in the stock.         The technical analysis of the ni...
